Video production - my passion

I'm Kev, I produce, direct, shoot and edit; taking care of the whole process from planning, crews, talent and locations to edit and final output delivery.  I work with clients to ensure their vision is delivered through high quality, cost effective videos.

My passion developed at an early age, shooting and editing super 8 home movies and although life took me down a commercial path I ended up coming back to the thing I love.

Case study, full production - Santander

From the very first client discussions it was obvious that the key to this series of videos would be sourcing the perfect vibrant and engaging on-screen talent to match the clients vision.

Although I have worked with numerous professional on screen talent I had no one in my book that would do these videos justice so I organised a casting call and found exactly the personality required. The client specified a warehouse style location.

This enabled me to direct and edit in a style that built upon the clients vision and delivered videos beyond expectation.

9:16 Reels, Shorts and TikToks

We live in a world of mobile shorts; but these are not just the domain of influencers and social commenters.

For businesses they are key to driving traffic to long form videos and websites from social platforms.


Shorts are easily created whilst editing the long form versions and add very little in terms of cost, they can also be derived from existing pre edited long form videos.

 

Case study, social media campaign - HSBC

When you get a call at 11pm on a Friday night from a leading NY ad agency saying they need your help you don't know what to expect.

It turned out to be 18 short videos in 2 ratios
(16:9 and 1:1) and in 2 languages - that's 72 videos in total which needed to be created and delivered by 8am Monday morning NY time.

So I worked most of the next 2 days and 2 nights, made the deadline and more importantly made my client and their client very happy.

Case study, full production - Google 

A series of 18 videos shot at YouTube studios London over 5 days.

The client wanted their department heads and product specialist to deliver the scripts to camera so fundamental the success of these videos was working with, and coaching people who are not used to presenting to camera and reading a teleprompter.

For the edits I took the clients strict brand guide lines and developed a look and feel that was an evolution of what had gone before

Stock footage creatives

Direct, subtle or impactful stock footage videos bring together all of the key elements of creativity, marketing and business understanding.

Voice overs have to be engaging without any visuals.

The next key component is the underlying music, which I always edit and re mix to ensure correctly timed crescendos and the addition of subtle sound effects.

The selection of footage and the edit technique must ensure it enhances but never overwhelms the video whilst also complimenting the clients brand and message
